Since the beginning Lerøy has been a pioneer company within the broad-ranging Norwegian fish industry. The main focus has always been on the development of markets for fresh, smoked and frozen fish products. Lerøy has frequently been the first in new markets, or the first to commercialise new types of fish.
The pioneer spirit is still existent in the company`s structure and Lerøy was the first to export fresh salmon to the USA market, and introduce direct flights of fresh salmon to Japan. In addition, Lerøy has become increasingly active in the Norwegian, Swedish, French and Japanese markets. The continous development of new markets sees Lerøy as the prominent international quality, contractor of seafood.
